A Week of Strong Showcases
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
We got our final trailer for next month’s The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, highlighting the titular tears, teases of dungeons, and the return of the Demon King Ganondorf. After several low-key displays of what awaits in the sequel to Breath of the Wild, this trailer replicates the final Breath of the Wild trailer that brought the heat and set the tone for the grand adventure that awaits us.
Final Fantasy XVI
The biggest PlayStation exclusive of the summer, Final Fantasy XVI got one of PlayStation’s coveted 3rd party dedicated State of Play showcases. Producer Naoki Yoshida showcased roughly 20 minutes of brand new gameplay. Here is everything you missed.
The Great Framerate Debate
May’s Xbox First Party exclusive new IP Redfall is the latest game of the generation to be grilled for its preference of fidelity over performance, at least at launch. The twitter account for the game detailed that when the game launches on May 2nd it can only be played in 30fps mode on both Series S and X. Diablo IV Battle Passes Take How Long to complete?
We recently had the chance to sit down and chat with the developers at Blizzard Entertainment working on Diablo IV and when we asked how long players can expect the grind to be to complete each battle pass, we were met with a playtime of 80 hours. For more insight into the endgame of Diablo IV, check out Austin Suther’s full recap of the interview, and remember to stay hydrated in all those hours you’ll spend in hell this summer.
